PARENTING COORDINATION

Parenting coordination is a child-focused alternative dispute resolution process. The parenting coordinator assists the parents in creating or implementing a parenting plan by utilizing mediation skills, and educating the parties. Divorce proceedings even in the best of circumstances can be emotionally devastating. Sometimes, even well meaning parents inadvertently use their children like pawns in a chess game. Common issues  that may be addressed may include, but are not limited to  scheduling, communication between the parties (or lack thereof), education of the children or extracurricular activities. The goal is to always protect the best interest of the children. 

PARENTING PLANS

Effective October 1st 2008, a detailed document outlining parental time-sharing and responsibilities is required by parents wishing to secure a Florida.  Our mediator is uniquely qualified to help you with this document entitled a parenting plan.  Attorney Myers-Rubin  has served in the capacity of a Guardian Ad Litem , acting to safeguard the interests of minors in custody proceedings. In addition, she is also a licensed clinical social who has been   appointed by the courts to provide a social investigation and home study, in conjunction with providing parenting plan recommendation to the Court. She can help you design a parenting plan with your children's best interests served.
